Email Loop Testing. Does the email ever seem unusually quiet? We test your email system from input to output. A probe email is sent from our server to your server. Your server is responsible for looping it back. If we don't receive the email or if it is not readable, you will be notified.
MDAEMON Testing. IMAP, POP, SMTP and LDAP tests can make sure that your MDAEMON email server is running properly.
Firewall Testing. Are critical ports open to hackers? Is your firewall changed? External monitoring can watch for the slightest variation in signature and let you know if something is altered.
Exchange Server Testing. Are your private and public data stores running properly? What if they fail on Sunday night, when no watches their email? Or if you're a lawyer on the way to court where email of documents is critical. With properly monitoring, a problem can be identified and corrected before it becomes critical.
DNS Expiration Checking. If you inadvertently overlook the expiration of a domain name registration, traffic will no longer be routed to your server. Backup System Success Testing. The very last thing you want in event of a server failure is to find that you have no tape to restore from. AIX, UNIX, SCO, Windows, Netware - we can test any backup system that can send a status email. At 9:00 AM each day, if our system doesn't get a success message from your backup system, you will be notified.
Disaster Recovery Readiness. Our professional services group can help you plan a comprehensive disaster recovery plan. But even when that plan is in place, it needs to be monitored to make sure critical data is ready to be recovered. A disaster recovery plan with no auditing is likely to fail when the plan needs to be put into action.
RAID Health. All servers depend on hard drives, and every hard drive fails sooner or later. A RAID configuration (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) can protect against single drive failure, and (if you have invested in a hot spare), even two drive failures. But who is notified when one of the drives fails? And by whom and how often are your event logs checked? Worst case scenario: The RAID is degraded already and no one knows. We remotely check your RAID health with a proactive test. If we get no response due to a software issue, you are notified.
Temperature and Humidity Monitoring. If the air conditioning fails in your server room, who should the UPS email when the temperature rises? And how do you know that email will actually be sent when there may be a computer problem? Our system notifies you and gives you access to graphs of Temperature and Humidity levels, from anywhere you have internet access.
Antivirus Definitions Freshness. Antivirus is only as useful as your virus definitions are up-to-date. But broken software cant alert you that it's broken.
Our systems proactively monitor the age of your virus definitions, so if your antivirus subscription expires or if the software fails to update, at least you will be up-to-date.
SQL Server Transaction Monitoring. Your SQL server is likely a crucial single point of failure for your business operations. Just knowing that the service is running is not enough. Transaction testing helps insure that the SQL server is ready to store and retrieve data.
SQL Server Database Integrity Testing. Data that is static and should not change can be fingerprinted and checked for integrity. So you will immediately know of any unexpected or unauthorized change. In addition to checking the integrity of this data itself, this test helps verify the your server's ability to read and transmit other data reliably.
Critical File Age Check. Is there a file on your server that is updated daily, like sales data from another system? Or at least it is supposed to be updated daily. We can check so that export of the sales data is up-to-date.
